some highlights for season ´26 - ´27
Bas Wiegers' new season includes débuts at three opera houses, among them Georg Friedrich Haas's KOMA at the Bayerische Staatsoper, directed by Romeo Castellucci. Later he conducts Beethoven NEUN, a new production around Beethoven's Ninth Symphony, at Staatsoper Stuttgart. The season opens with Louis Andriessen's De Materie at OperaBallet Vlaanderen.
On the concert stage, his repertoire spans from Haydn, Bruckner and Debussy to brand-new works by Mark André, Trevor Grahl and Catherine Lamb. He continues his close relationship with the Münchener Kammerorchester across numerous concerts, and returns to the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra in Tallinn and the SWR Symphonieorchester. Debuts include the Stavanger Symphony Orchestra (Debussy, Sibelius) and the Odense Symphony Orchestra (Schubert).
